‘Treat me well’ is Mencaps latest campaign to transform how the NHS treats people with a learning disability in hospital. Sadly, we know 1200 people with a learning disability die avoidably in hospital care, each and every year.  This has to change.

Simple changes in hospital care make a big difference – better communication, clearer information and more time.  Mencaps campaign calls for real change, so people with a learning disability always get the treatment they need when they are in hospital.
